Viva el Mariachi

Every Thursday evening, the Renaissance Marketplace in Oranjestad, Aruba comes alive with the sound of live mariachi music. Starting around 8:00 PM, a roaming mariachi band makes its way through the Marketplace, playing between the restaurants, outdoor terraces and walkways instead of performing from a fixed stage. Expect lively trumpets, violins and traditional guitarrón as the musicians move through the crowd. It's a fun addition to a Thursday night in downtown Oranjestad-perfect to enjoy while having dinner, drinks or simply walking through the Renaissance Marketplace.
